The Best Paintball Guns for Girls

February 18, 2008

Paintball is a growing sport for both men and women, and I hope to help the girls find the best paintball guns on the market that are best suited for them. So here is a breakdown of the paintball guns that all girls/gals/women/females should use when playing paintball.

Paintball Spyder Pilot ACS: This is a great gun for a few reasons. Keyword here would be light. It’s nice and light. It can be difficult to hold up a heavy run for an entire paintball match. Keeping it light, keeps it simple. As well this gun has anti-chop system, so your paintballs don’t get chopped up.

Triumph By Tippmann XLk: This is also a great gun to get your hands on. It is recommended for anyone new that is thinking of joining the sport. It’s of very good value and offers all the characteristics to be a very competitive player without having to invest huge sums of money to get it.

Those are the best paintball guns on the market for girls. I hope this can help diversify the sport and bring both sexes out. Maybe we’ll end up having battle of the sexes paintball wars and stuff like that. Cheers!

The Best Paintball Gun Coming to a Field Near You!

February 13, 2008

On my never ending quest for the best paintball gun I found something very interesting. It seems that some places have ordered little Panzer tanks that one person can drive that has a cannon that can unleash a pounding of paintballs. The tank comes with a 2 feet long cannon that can shoot 15 rounds per second. It weighs 9000lbs and is 3 feet tall by 7 feet long.

Here read this…

It has been launched to give the war game – introduced to Britain 25 years ago and popular for corporate events and stag dos – a radical revolution.

Just like in the theatre of war, its inventors say the tank will provide the infantry paintballers with armoured cover when they take on rival teams.

Paintballing centres across Britain are being advised to buy the pocket tanks in pairs to make games more fairer.

Ron Francis, of Funtrak Ltd based in Blackpool, Lancs, said: “We have trialled it out at a few paintballing centres and every single player had a huge grin on their face.

A Great Paintball Wedding

February 11, 2008

I’m always amused to find such odd people out there and how they use their paintball guns. I’m not sure how many brides (or grooms at that) would whip out a paintball gun on their wedding day and shoot down their bride, only to have the bride pull out her own gun and shoot back at the groom.

You need to check out this article:

Dustin Sanders of Ruston, La., loads his weapon with pink, orange and yellow paintballs, takes aim and fires. His target: a $500 partially beaded wedding gown worn by his bride of four months, Jessica.

As the paint blasts onto her gown, Jessica, 26, screams. Then she holds up a paintball gun and fires back, leaving her groom bruised and painted pink.

It’s surprising because I wouldn’t expect any bride out there to want this or more importantly allow this, but it appears to be a growing phenomenon:

“Trash The Dress” photo shoots like this have become an offbeat phenomenon across the country. In many, brides in white gowns simply pose where they’re bound to get wet or dirty: in the surf, in trees, in cornfields, on horses, in trash-strewn city alleys, on boxcars, on tractors.

Well, I hope you found that funny, because I sure did.

Best Paintball Gun Intimidation

February 5, 2008

As I’m always looking for the best paintball gun, I know that intimidation is a critical factor to causing my opponents to slip up. Anxiety, fear and worry are always my friends when I’m playing a round of paintball.

So how do I intimidate in paintball
:

Taunting: Nothing like a little talk while you’re playing. Make sure your opponents know you have an ego.

Projection: Always project to the field that you own it. You’re the boss and the best.

Fashion: Having things that look good really does make a difference. If you’re wearing dirty clothes and look like a bum, your opponents will think you’re a bum. Make sure your paintball gun
looks great.

Make sure you work on these tips because intimidation is key. That’s what can help your best paintball gun be just that much better.

The Price of Paintballs Going Up

January 30, 2008

With the increased interest in paintball, the price of paintballs have been going up. It really isn’t the most expensive out there though, think hockey! But if you end up shooting off too many rounds, you may need to slow down.

This article has an interesting suggestion:

So basically paintball is becoming even more expensive. What’s being done about it? Well, since every paintball you shoot will soon cost you more per shot, the only alternative we can choose is to simply shoot less. The PSP recently changed their maximum allowed rate of fire from 15 BPS to 13 BPS, a good first step. A lot of price control has to do with the end consumer (that’s you and me). Theoretically, if you shoot less, demand goes down, and price goes down.

If you turn down the rate of fire, you’ll shoot less and save yourself some money. You may also want to practice more on the way you fire. Consciously monitor how often you shoot and try to minimize that too the critical points that will yield the best hit.

I know this blog is supposed to be about the best paintball gun, but paintballs are just as relevant.

The Best Paintball Gun For Hilarity

January 27, 2008

I was reading something yesterday and I thought that this is definitely the best paintball gun for a hilarious mess. There was a guy named Wafaa Bilal that wanted to do an experiment on dehumanization.

This guy moved into his living room to stay their 24/7 for 30 days. He also rigged up a paintball gun that allowed people on the internet to shoot at him. This is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I wanted to share some snippits of the interview:

How many times have you been hit?

I lost count how many times I’ve been hit, but, as I said, today the count is up to 6,500 shots. I think day 13 – today – I entered kind of a survival mode, trying to protect myself by barricading myself and navigating through the room so that I’m not in the direct line of fire. But that does not mean I don’t forget that I am facing the gun 24 hours a day, and it happens so many times I forget for a second, and get hit.

Yesterday I got two of them really close to my head, and I do not wear any head protection except goggles, just because I wanted to feel that danger from the gun that’s pointed at me.

I’m not sure if I’d take the time to reload the gun. Over 6,500 rounds have been shot at him and he’s only wearing goggles. He’s not even wearing a full paintball mask.

Even though shooting a man with a paintball gun over the Internet probably won’t kill him, it seems to me to be more than art – but also a psychological test about the human condition. People who choose to aim and fire the gun at him are doing so knowing that they hurt him – but either they show no remorse when they inflict pain – a hypothesis that I’m not keen to accept but would be foolish to dismiss – or because the distance and remoteness of the location “on the Internet” is dehumanizing

I just find this so hilarious. I’m not sure why this guy thinks he’s going to prove anything, but I do thank him for giving me this hilarious story to post. I think this definitely needs to be added to the hall of fame of the best paintball gun. The original article is here.

Places to Play With Your Best Paintball Gun

January 26, 2008

When you finally get your hands on your best paintball gun, you might want to give it a good testing. To really test your gun, you need to have a real challenge. I want to discuss some different kinds of paintball places to play that can offer you a challenge.

Woodsball – This is real. This is the most realistic form of paintball combat you can have. You will truly be tested here with your paintball gun.

Urban Themed – My personal favorite for a paintball environment. A real case of close urban combat. This will seperate the average paintball gun from the best gun.

Speedball Fields – These are the most challenging ones. There are barriers everywhere and people will be on top of you constantly. You’ll need a gun that can get the job done for this.

Well, I think these are the places to take your best paintball gun and do some damage.

Best Paintball Gun Must Haves

January 24, 2008

When looking for the best paintball gun there needs to be a few characteristics that must be met. Most people get caught up on a few characteristics thinking that is what makes the best. They couldn’t be further from the truth. Having a gun that shoots more paintballs for second than another doesn’t make it better.

Durability: When you purchase a gun the last thing need happening is it breaking. These guns are not cheap and if your gun is always getting damaged, you’re just wasting your time. Take into consideration that your gun will be hit by a paintball and you’ll be rolling around on the ground.

Maintenance: All paintball guns will need to have maintenance done to them. You’ll have to sit down and clean them. Nothing is more annoying than a gun that is difficult to clean. Find a gun that makes this task easy.

Accuracy: Being able to hit your target is important. Constantly compensating can be demoralizing. You should look down the site and that’s where the paintball travels.

Take the time to focus on these characteristic and you’ll have in your hands the best paintball gun to call your own.

Wishlist for the Best Paintball Gun

January 23, 2008

I’ve often had a wishlist for the best paintball gun I see every time I have a paintball dream. I want to list the characteristics for you because they’re important. I hope to see creators of paintball guns to really use these qualities and sell a superior product.

These characteristics would definitely make each paintballer out there happy and make the creator a lot of money.

Customizable: I like to add things to my gun. Things change from the time you buy the gun and new and improved equipment is produced. I want a gun that makes it easy for me to add on and upgrade. Just like how a computer works.

Compressed Air and CO2 Compatible: I want to see my gun being able to handle both. Sometimes I don’t have one or the other available to me at the time, so it is nice to borrow a friends and use it.

Light Weight: I want my gun to be light weight. Not too light. I want it to be light, but not light enough for me to forget it is there. The reason for this is because it can be so heavy holding your gun up when you’ve been playing for a while. My arms are the first thing to get tired.

General Range Accuracy: I wasn’t really sure how to word that, but what I mean is the accuracy of the gun as the range changes. I need a gun that has good accuracy at 50feet and just about the same at 300feet. Usually the longer the gun can shoot, the less accurate it is shooting closer. I want a balance.

These are definitely the qualities that would be my best paintball gun. I can only hope someone will take these into consideration.

Best Paintball Gun

January 23, 2008

I love paintball and I’m always looking for the best paintball gun. I’ve been playing for a few years now. I’m addicted to this sport. Before I would sit on the computer and play shooters, but now, I’m out paintballing 4 nights a week. I’m learning a lot of about tactical military strategies and becoming an expert with my gun.

I’m often asked about the best paintball gun on the market, so I decided to create this blog. I will talk about it all.
